Patrick’s History

 

 

 

Patrick grew up in the city of Toulouse in the south of France. From an early age, Patrick demonstrated exceptional sporting ability, winning more than 30 tennis and ski competitions.

Patrick became interested in finance in 1989 after a visit to the Paris Stock Exchange. In 1996, Patrick took his early passion for finance to Paris, where he opened an investment club, and managed a portfolio of stocks and mutual funds in Euros. He graduated top of his class, earning his Master of Science in Engineering (EPF Ecole d'Ingenieurs). In the meantime, he discovered how the financial markets worked during internships at BNP Paribas in Chicago, JP Morgan in Paris, and Euronext/NYSE, in London.

In 1999, he relocated to Chicago to work again for Euronext/NYSE, and started to manage a second fund of funds (in US Dollars this time). He also earned a Master of Science in Finance (Illinois Institute of Technology - graduated Beta Gamma Sigma).

Patrick began to develop a reputation for his expertise in equity research and portfolio management at UBS Global Asset Management which manages $600 billion. In 2000, Patrick joined the prestigious equity team at UBS-Brinson Partners, in Chicago, where he quickly rose in the ranks. He became the youngest associate investment analyst.

 

He has been cited frequently for his strong business acumen, sound market expertise, and superior analytical abilities.

Patrick also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003. The Chartered Financial Analyst Program sets a globally recognized standard in competence and integrity.

In 2010, after 10 years with UBS, and 15 years in the finance world, Patrick decided to take his skills as an investor to a new level.

Patrick founded Bourbon Financial Management, LLC with the goal of providing his clients with solid financial advice, as well as optimal wealth management in an ethical manner.

When he is not at work, Patrick enjoys traveling around the world and wine tasting (Pomerol is his favorite). So far, he’s been to more than 25 countries and speaks English, French, and Spanish. He also studied Japanese, Russian and Greek in school and college.

He is also actively involved in the Chicago community. In 2006, Patrick was elected President of UFEC (Union des Français de l’Etranger de Chicago) Chicago's largest, most active, and oldest volonteer Francophone organization. Patrick is also actively involved in the French-American Chamber of Commerce and the CFA Society of Chicago. Patrick is a board member of Stuart Investments at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and Chair of the Finance committee of the South Drill Team.
